Former Lazio and Udinese coach Igor Tudor is being floated as a potential replacement for Thiago Motta at Juventus.

The Bianconeri have repeatedly assured that the position of their current coach is not in danger, but the situation could change if they drop further behind in the race for a top four Serie A finish.

According to transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, the new favourite to come in at short notice to see out the season is Tudor.

Tudor would love return to Juventus

It would be a return to Turin for the 46-year-old, who was a player for Juventus from 1998 to 2005, then returned as assistant manager to Andrea Pirlo in the 2020-21 campaign.

His love for the club prompted him to take that step down, having already been a head coach in his own right for the likes of Galatasaray, Udinese and Hajduk Split.

Tudor went on to roles at Hellas Verona, Olympique Marseille and Lazio, but walked away in June 2024 from the Stadio Olimpico due to disagreements over transfer strategy.

It remains to be seen if Tudor would be considered a valid option going forward or just to see out the campaign at Juventus.
