According to Diario Sevilla, the English side have offered the Netherlands left-back to Los Beticos, who are still looking for defensive reinforcements.

While Manchester United are willing to let Malacia leave on a loan, Real Betis have not yet made a decision.

The Spanish club are currently focusing on other options, including Josep Chavarria (Rayo Vallecano).

However, the good relationship between the clubs – which previously led to Antony’s loan deal – could make a move for Malacia possible at a later date.

With the arrival of a new left-back, Betis wants to increase the competition for the left-back position. The Seville outfit currently has Romain Perraud and Ricardo Rodriguez, but are still looking for additional reinforcements for the second half of the season.

Does Malacia have a future at Man Utd?

Malacia has a contract at Old Trafford until mid-2026, with an option for an extra season. His future in Manchester seems uncertain, though.

United are about to sign the 20-year-old Patrick Dorgu (Lecce) as their new left-back. The English club is reportedly paying around €35-38 million for the Denmark international.

With Dorgu’s arrival, a loan move to Real Betis could be a logical solution for Malacia.

The Spanish club has until February 3 to sign a new left-back.

The 25-year-old from Rotterdam returned this season after a serious injury, which kept him out for no less than 517 days. Since his return, Malacia has made eight appearances for Manchester United, in which he played 316 minutes.
