‘Unhappy’ superstar WANTS Arsenal: Jorge Mendes working on €100m deal

Kenan Yildiz is ‘unhappy’ at Juventus and is looking increasingly likely to leave in the summer, according to Italian media.

The Turkish wonderkid has been thrust into the spotlight in the wake of Juventus’ shock exit from the Champions League at the hands of PSV. Italian media has gone into overdrive with speculation surrounding the future of coach Thiago Motta and the club’s financial situation.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are looking to raise €100 million from sales in the summer and this will become even more imperative should they fail to return to the Champions League after this season.

Juventus are currently fifth in Serie A, one point off the top four, so it is still too early to make any definitive calls regarding the summer, but Yildiz is nevertheless one name that has come to the fore in recent days.

In addition to Man City target Andrea Cambiaso and much-maligned striker Dusan Vlahovic, Yildiz is one of Juventus’ most valuable assets and he is known to have plenty of admirers around Europe.

Yildiz transfer picking up steam

Arsenal are long-time suitors, with their interest dating back to his time in Bayern Munich’s academy. On Friday, FootballTransfers explained that Yildiz would be an ideal signing for the Gunners.

It has been claimed that the versatile attacker’s father has asked superagent Jorge Mendes to sound out the market regarding possible opportunities.

Mendes does not officially present Yildiz, but he was recently spotted meeting the youngster’s parents in a Turin restaurant, which naturally gave rise to speculation.

It has become an increasingly widespread practice to give superagents like Mendes a ‘mandate’ to handle transfers even if the players in question are represented by different people such as relatives or parents.

Corriere dello Sport now reports that Yildiz has grown increasingly ‘unhappy’ at Juventus in recent times as his game time as his importance and game time have diminished.

The 19-year-old hasn’t started for Juventus since getting hooked at half-time in the first leg against PSV. There is an expectation that this state of affairs won’t last long, but Yildiz is nevertheless said to be very frustrated with the situation in Turin and could head to the Premier League in the summer.
