The Nerazzurri broke the deadlock at the De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam just before half-time this evening with their first genuine scoring opportunity of the match.

Nicolò Barella floated a cross from the right and Thuram with his intelligent movement managed to peel away from his marker, but still had a lot of work to do, surprising the goalkeeper with a flick off the outside of the right boot into the far top corner of the net.

That was the France international’s 15^th goal of the season in all competition for Inter.
