Erling Haaland became the quickest player ever to reach 50 goals in the Champions League with his opener in the league phase tie between Manchester City and Napoli on Thursday night.

Haaland, with his goal in the second half of Man City vs. Napoli on Thursday evening, set a new record and became the fastest player to reach 50 Champions League goals, achieving the feat in just 49 outings in the competition.

It was a phenomenal goal that took Haaland to the 50-goal mark. England international Phil Foden managed to dink a lofted ball into the area for the big Norwegian, who reacted brilliantly to get an early header on the ball and loop it over the towering Vanja Milinkovic-Savic in goal. 

Jeremy Doku went on to put Man City two goals up on the night shortly afterwards.
