The Argentina international was a major doubt to feature after going off at half-time at Montjuic during their 3-3 thriller with a muscular problem, but he shook it off to get into the starting XI.

That proved decisive, as the captain was ready to meet the Denzel Dumfries assist to open the scoring at San Siro this evening.

Federico Dimarco had started the move with a high press to rob Dani Olmo in midfield and immediately thread through for Dumfries.

This gives Inter a 4-3 aggregate lead in the Champions League semi-final, hoping to face either Arsenal or PSG in the Final in Munich on May 31.
