Inter legend Beppe Bergomi commented on Tuesday’s epic game against Barcelona for Sky Sport Italia and was in tears after the final whistle.
The former Italian defender, a 1982 World Cup winner with the Azzurri who spent his entire playing career at Inter, could not hold back the tears after Inter’s thrilling 4-3 win over Barcelona on Tuesday night.
The victory allowed Simone Inzaghi’s men to qualify for the Champions League Final for the second time in three years.
Bergomi, a Sky Sport Italia pundit at San Siro last night, was reduced to tears after the final whistle and could not continue his commentary.
“Incredible, this commentary…” Bergomi said before his voice broke.
The former defender played 757 games with the Nerazzurri, winning one Serie A title and three UEFA Cups, among other trophies.
