Real Madrid have reportedly joined the race to sign Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres following news that Erling Haaland is set to extend his Manchester City contract.
The Sweden international is being heavily chased by both Arsenal and Manchester United ahead of 2025, while Chelsea are also keen admirers.
However, Real Madrid have now expressed their interest in purchasing Gyokeres amid Kylian Mbappe’s recent struggles in the Spanish capital.

Mbappe made the long-awaited move to the Santiago Bernabeu in July, but he has been overshadowed by Brazil international Vinicius Junior and he has failed to adapt to his new role as a lone striker.
As a result, Real Madrid have been linked with a number of new centre forwards in recent weeks, with Haaland their clear priority target.
But, the Norway international is reportedly close to finalising a new contract with Man City, ending speculation of a move to Los Blancos in the process.

Viktor Gyokeres to Real Madrid?
With Haaland unlikely to join Real Madrid in the near future, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are now pursuing a move for Gyokeres, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, as they look to sign an out-and-out number nine amid Mbappe’s recent struggles.
In a bid to beat both Arsenal and Man Utd to Gyokeres next year, Real Madrid are reportedly set to offer Sporting CP the chance to sign Endrick on a season-long loan deal.
The Brazil wonderkid has racked up just 125 minutes of action across all competitions since his summer move from Palmeiras and Los Blancos are open to loaning him out to Sporting in order to speed up his development.
However, while Real Madrid are interested in finalising a deal for Gyokeres, the Sweden international appears most likely to secure a Premier League transfer next summer, with Arsenal and Man Utd set to battle each other for his signature.
Gyokeres has scored 24 goals in 19 appearances for Sporting so far this season, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) now stands at €42.7 million.
