Based on the latest updates from Sky Germany, Daniel Bauer is set to remain as head coach of VfL Wolfsburg for now.

A decision has now been made today, Monday, 2 March although this outcome had seemed likely yesterday despite other reports.

Peter Christiansen will also remain in his position for the time being – information which is also backed up by Kicker.de.

However, next Saturday’s home fixture against Hamburger SV could become decisive in determining Bauer’s future.

Since taking over the Lower Saxony side, Bauer has claimed just 12 points from three wins and three draws, but has suffered 8 defeats.

Yesterday’s 4-0 defeat to VfB Stuttgart left players like Yannick Gerhardt openly criticising Wolfsburg and the mood in the squad
