Former Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu equalised for Inter in the Coppa Italia semi-final with a rocket from outside the area to set the scores at 1-1 midway through the second half in San Siro.

Tammy Abraham had opened the scoring two minutes into the second half of the Coppa Italia semi-final between the rival Milanese clubs in what had been an evenly-contested affair up until that point. 

Inter, seeking the equaliser, eventually got themselves level through the former Rossoneri man, who dispatched a thunderous, low-driven strike from outside the penalty area, which rocketed past Maignan and when slowed down on the replay, there was a tricky bit of movement on the ball as well. 

The Nerazzurri have now scored in a record-breaking 15 consecutive derbies against Milan.

The two teams will meet again for the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final on April 23.
