FC Bayern and Germany legend Thomas Müller made headlines in MLS on Saturday (local time), scoring a hat-trick on his 36th birthday as Vancouver Whitecaps thrashed Philadelphia Union 7–0.
The 36-year-old converted two clinical penalties before capping off the rout late on, sealing a crushing win for the Canadian side.
Müller has now racked up four goals and an assist in just three Major League Soccer appearances since making the switch to the United States.
