Werder Bremen have reached an agreement with Leeds United to sign Maximilian Wöber, according to reports.

Maximilian Wöber is reportedly close to returning to the Bundesliga, where he spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

According to Sky Germany and Bild, Werder Bremen have reached an agreement to sign the centre-back from Leeds United for a low single-digit million fee.

Wöber is expected to undergo a medical and sign a contract until 2029 within the next few days.

The 27-year-old Austria international was limited to just nine appearances for Leeds in an injury-hit 2024/25 campaign.

During the previous season, he featured 27 times for Gladbach, contributing two goals and three assists.
