Sky Germany reports that Werder Bremen are interested in signing Damion Downs from Southampton during the winter transfer window.
The Bundesliga side are looking to strengthen their attack, with Bayer Leverkusen loanee Victor Boniface set to miss an extended period due to a knee injury.
Downs, meanwhile, is eager for more regular playing time to boost his chances of making the United States World Cup squad.
Hamburger SV are also reportedly interested in the former 1. FC Köln forward, who is under contract at Southampton until 2029.
