Bremen’s rumored acquisition of 19-year-old Norwegian attacking midfielder Isak Hansen-Aarøen is through. The teenage talent joins the Hanseatic City State club from the Manchester United reserves. Hansen-Aarøen is the third youngster brought in by the Werder administrative team this winter after Argentine Julian Malatini (21) and Shelly Alvero (21).

The “Manchester Evening News” claims that Werder have paid the English Red Devils a low six-figure sum to obtain the rights to Hansen-Aarøen permanently. His English club nevertheless secured a sell-on clause and matching rights in the event that the Germans seek to flip him. The Norwegian youth international has made two appearances for the senior Man U squad.

“Isak is a very exciting talent with great potential,” Bremen licensing director Clemens Fritz noted in a club statement, “We are very happy that we were able to convince him of his sporting prospects with us.”

“The move to Werder is the right step for me,” the player himself added in a statement on the club’s website, “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to play in the Bundesliga for such a big club.”
