West Ham have agreed deals that will allow Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals to leave the club on transfer deadline day. Lyon have arranged a deal worth a reported £15 million for the signing of Benrahma, whilst Real Betis will pay close to £7 million for Fornals; both are expected to depart and sign long-term deals at their new clubs.

Both Fornals and Benrahma were important members of West Ham‘s Europa League winning squad, but this season have found their first-team opportunities limited under David Moyes.

Fornals moved to the Hammers in 2019, appeared 152 times in the Premier League scoring 16 goals; but this season 14 appearances of which most have come from the bench appears to spell the end for the Spaniard’s Irons career.

Benrahma is a very popular player at West Ham, having signed from Brentford in 2021 and scored 15 goals in 98 games in the league.  After seven years in England, the Algerian international is seeking a return to France.

West Ham are not expected to be active in the January transfer window, but the exceptional form of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus appears to spell the end for the duo.
