West Ham United are emerging as the most determined club to bring Juventus flop Douglas Luiz back to the Premier League, with suggestions €40m could suffice.
The midfielder was a huge investment from Aston Villa last summer at €50m, but made absolutely no impact in Serie A or the Champions League.
Douglas Luiz provided zero goals or assists, playing just 877 minutes of football, failing to impress either Thiago Motta or his successor Igor Tudor.
Premier League beckons for Douglas Luiz

It had already been suggested today that there was strong interest from the Premier League, with West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Leeds United and Fulham all in the running.
Now La Gazzetta dello Sport clarify that the Hammers are the most determined to get a deal over the line, with negotiations intensifying this weekend.
The asking price is not expected to drop below a minimum of €40m, but considering how badly he did last season, Juventus are open to more versatile strategies.
This could include a loan at €10m with obligation to buy if certain conditions are met for a further €25-30m.
