Inzaghi reportedly attempted to shake up his Inter players during today’s training session, following a painful Derby della Madonnina defeat, by gathering the entire squad for an extended team talk — with crucial fixtures now on the horizon.

The Nerazzurri suffered a 3-0 loss to Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal, marking their second consecutive defeat — a streak they hadn’t experienced in over two years.

However, the coach knows there’s no time to dwell on setbacks as a swift and strong response is essential, with Inter already under pressure to bounce back this weekend against Roma to avoid dropping more vital points in the Scudetto race — before heading to Barcelona for the first leg of the Champions League semifinal.

How Inzaghi tried to refocus Inter after Milan humbling

That’s why, according to FcInter1908, Inzaghi began Friday’s training by calling all his players to the center of the pitch for a team talk, during which he broke down the team’s performance in the recent derby, highlighting the need for greater focus — particularly in key phases of play where costly lapses occurred.

Inter are now set to host Claudio Ranieri’s side, who remain unbeaten in Serie A since mid-December. The match, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been moved to Sunday following Lega Serie A’s decision to postpone all games planned for the day of Pope Francis’ funeral.
