The Denzel Dumfries injury and changes adopted to cover for him have raised questions about Inter needing a suitable understudy in January, but that is not in their plans.

Over the last few days, there has been a great deal of debate about how the Nerazzurri will cover the right flank in the absence of Dumfries in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan.

Cristian Chivu is leaning towards moving Carlos Augusto to the other side because, as already explained, Luis Henrique has not yet settled tactically and needs vast improvement in his defending before getting more playing time.

Dumfries understudy just needs more time

However, that does not mean Inter are looking to the transfer market for the role in January, nor are they considering the idea of loaning out Luis Henrique.

The Brazilian will continue his progress and be given this time to adapt, as Inter feel they are complete in all areas, and it would only change if they spotted an opportunity that was too good to miss.
