Everton host fellow relegation potentials Nottingham Forest this weekend in the Premier League.

It is a massive clash at the bottom of the table, with both sides needing three points to put a firm cushion in-between themselves and the bottom three.

Both sides suffered major blows to their seasons when they were handed point deductions for breaking financial fair play rules

To add further anticipation to the clash, the Premier League have decided to switch up the kick-off time for the tie.

What time is Everton vs Nottingham Forest?

Everton will play host to Nuno Espirito Santo‘s Forest side at Goodison Park this Sunday, April 21.

However if you are hoping to tune into the bottom of the table crunch game, you might just want to check your timings.

As the game between the Toffees and the Garibaldis is not scheduled for either off the standard Sunday game kick-off slots.

Sunday Premier League games are usually given a 2pm or 4:30pm kick-off time, however Everton vs Forest is scheduled for 1:30pm.

Why has Everton vs Nottingham Forest’s kick-off time been given an earlier time?

It is unclear why exactly the match was given a earlier kick-off but there is one clue which may allude to the reason. 

Sky Sports have selected the game to be broadcast on Sunday, so one can assume the modified kick-off time could relate to this decision.

Over the past few years it also hasn’t been unusual to see kick-off times changed because of the police.

However in Everton’s statement about the match being selected for TV coverage and being given an earlier kick-off time, there was no mention of police or the games kick-off time being changed due to crowd safety.

As mentioned before Sky Sports will show the game live, with their coverage getting underway at 12:30pm, an hour before kick-off at 1:30pm.
