Why Juventus scouts watched Feyenoord-Milan and will do again in San Siro – Football Italia – February 13 latest

Juventus reportedly had scouts watching Milan’s 1-0 loss away to Feyenoord in the Champions League on Wednesday night to closely monitor the performance of centre-back David Hancko, who remains a top target for the Bianconeri in the summer.

According to reports from Calciomercato.it, representatives from Juventus were in attendance to watch Milan’s loss to Feyenoord at De Kuip to keep a close eye on Hancko, who had been close to securing a move to the Allianz Stadium in January. 

The Italian outlet claims that Juve will send staff to watch Feyenoord and Hancko again when they face Milan for the return leg in San Siro next week.

Juve had been hoping to snap the 27-year-old up in January to fix their then-shortage of options at centre-back, but with Feyenoord insisting on a transfer fee in excess of €30m, the Bianconeri were not able to get the deal done. 

Thursday’s reports suggest that Juventus are still very much interested in bringing Hancko to Turin. In fact, Calciomercato claims that Cristiano Giuntoli and Thiago Motta want him on board in time for the beginning of the Club World Cup in June. 

There is reportedly an agreement in place over a five-year contract worth around €3m per season in wages.
