Following reports that Mathys Tel has turned down a move to Tottenham, it’s now being suggested that he could stay at Bayern Munich after all. However, a transfer remains a possibility, with Manchester United apparently leading the race.

According to reports, Tottenham since made an offer to sign the 19-year-old on a loan deal with a purchase obligation worth €60 million.
Bayern were prepared to make the deal happen, but Tel ultimately decided against it. And when he did, he indicated to Tottenham that he wanted to stay at Bayern and reassess his options in the summer, according to The Athletic.
As such, it seems that there is a real possibility that Tel will remain at the Allianz Arena, although a loan move could still happen, with Manchester United in particular said to be pushing for his signature.
According to Fussball.news, Manchester United are “working hard” to sign Tel on loan and the interest is mutual, with the Frenchman “very interested” in a move to Old Trafford.
Arsenal and Aston Villa are also said to be showing interest in the 19-year-old striker.
According to Sky Germany, Tel will not be in Bayern’s squad to face Holstein Kiel on Saturday.
