Denis Vavro’s loan move from FC Copenhagen to VfL Wolfsburg is set to be made permanent.

That’s according to Kicker, who reports that Wolfsburg have decided to trigger their purchase option for the Slovakian centre-back.

According to the German football magazine, a fee of €2 million will be paid to FC Copenhagen, with a long-term contract expected to be announced in the coming days.

The 29-year-old has been a regular presence in Wolfsburg’s defense this season, making 31 appearances across all competitions.

Vavro has also earned 28 caps for the Slovakian national team.
