Woltemade’s agent puts pressure on Stuttgart to negotiate with Bayern

Nick Woltemade’s agent has criticized VfB Stuttgart for their unwillingness to enter negotiations with Bayern Munich over a possible move for the striker.

Danny Bachmann, the agent of VfB Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade, has broken silence on Bayern Munich’s interest in his client.

Stuttgart recently rejected a second offer from Bayern worth €50 million plus €5 million in bonuses for Woltemade and are refusing to negotiate with the German champions unless an “extraordinary” offer is made.

Bachmann is now questioning why a bid worth €55 million – which would represent a club-record sale for Stuttgart – wasn’t enough to initiate talks.

“If a Bundesliga record offer of €55 million isn’t even enough for a personal meeting, the question arises what exactly VfB considers extraordinary. That was not foreseeable,” Bachmann told DPA.

Reports suggest Stuttgart will only consider talks if an offer of at least €65 million is tabled.

Time will tell if Bachmann’s remarks will prompt a change in stance from the Swabian club.
