Wolves have pulled out of a move for Brazilian forward Yuri Alberto during the final stages of negotiations with Corinthians due to financial differences.
The 22-year-old, has been a target for West Ham and Everton recently, but Wolves looked set to seal his signature heading into the final day of the transfer window.
Alberto’s impressive campaign last season saw him bag 10 goals in all competitions for the Brazilian side and put Premier League clubs on alert.
Gary O’Neil is keen to reinforce his Wolves squad and looked to have completed a move for one of the South American league’s most highly-rated players before talks were abandoned.
Wolves and the player’s agent are understood to have disagreed on some of the financial particulars involved, with the English club then pulling out of the transfer.

It is the second successive transfer window where the Brazilian has been touted for a move to the Premier League before talks have fallen apart.
West Ham were keen to bring him to England last summer and even sent technical director Tim Steidten to Brazil to rubber stamp the deal.
Alberto has some European pedigree under his belt, although his spell with Zenit St. Petersburg yielded just 16 appearances.

He did however net four times in 11 league appearances for the Russian giants.
