Onana initially made a good stop to keep out Eddie Nketiah’s effort and then followed that up by thwarting Ismaila Starr in impressive fashion.
During his time at United Onana has received some criticism, but the 28-year-old provided a reminder of his ability.
Onana ended up keeping a clean sheet at Selhurst Park, with the game finishing 0-0.

However, Sky Sports commentator Alan Smith believes that Onana’s double save was of an even higher standard.
Smith said: ‘People were taking about Raya’s double save this week. I think this is even better! The second one is incredible.’
Outspoken United fan Mark Goldbridge was full of praise for the Cameroonian international as he wrote: ‘World class double save by Onana’.
Meanwhile, X user Aidan Walsh wrote: ‘Onana, oh my god. World class double save’.
Red Devils fan account Utd Faithfuls added: ‘ONANA WITH A BRILLIANT DOUBLE SAVE TO PREVENT US FROM CONCEDING!’.
Furthermore, United Zone wrote: ‘What a double save from Onana!’.
More fans complimented the Red Devils stopper, with one writing ‘Incredible from Onana’ and another adding: ‘Onana has been immense for United today’.
