Harry Maguire is in line for a shock transfer to Saudi Arabia in 2026.

The Daily Mirror reports that Al-Nassr and Al-Ettifaq would like to sign Maguire in the new year.

The Saudi Pro League is seen as a very possible destination for the 32-year-old, whose contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season.

The report adds that Maguire will likely strongly consider a move to Saudi Arabia as he will be able to command a massive salary.

Maguire to leave Man Utd

The Mirror claims that Man Utd will not extend Maguire’s contract as they plan to move on from the England defender.

Earlier this year, United chose to activate the option of extending Maguire’s contract by another year but that will be the last extension.

It remains to be seen whether United look to sell Maguire for a cut price in January or just allow him to leave on a free transfer in the summer.

Maguire can start to negotiate a pre contract with Saudi clubs from January.

The centre back joined from Leicester for a world-record fee for a defender of around €87 million in 2019.

After a decent first two seasons at the club, Maguire has endured four difficult past years for Man Utd.

After an error-prone 2021-22 season, he finally lost his place in the first team during the 2022-23 campaign as then-manager Erik ten Hag preferred Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez as his centre back pairing.

Maguire also started the 2023-24 season down the pecking order but an injury crisis saw him return to the fold.

His form has improved a touch individuall since then but United endured bad seasons collectively in 2034-24 and 2024-25.

This season Maguire has made six appearances for United, scoring one goal.
