Herbert Hainer has addressed reports suggesting that Bayern Munich have agreed personal terms with Nick Woltemade.
When asked about the speculation, Bayern president Herbert Hainer offered praise for the young forward, but left it open whether he will actually make the move to Säbener Straße.
“He’s having a very, very good season,” Hainer told reporters when he attended FC Bayern’s basketball final against Ulm on Thursday evening.
“But whether he’ll ever play for Bayern? That’s written in the stars.”
Pressed further on the reports, Hainer added:
“I can’t tell you anything about that. All I can say is that Nick Woltemade has developed well at VfB, and as Germany fans, we’re happy that he’s playing for the U21s and scoring so many goals.”
Stuttgart have repeatedly insisted that they expect Woltemade to stay at the club for the upcoming season.
However, with reports now claiming the 23-year-old has already informed the club of his desire to join Bayern, the question remains whether Stuttgart will stand firm.
