Chelsea continued their perfect start to the season with a 3-0 away victory over Liverpool, making it six league wins from six for new boss Sonia Bompastor.

Record signing Mayra Ramirez opened the scoring after 37 minutes and Guro Reiten added a second before half-time.

The Blues, who added another in the final minute through Aggie Beever-Jones, are a point behind leaders Manchester City who have played a game more.

Bompastor urged her side not to get carried away, saying: ‘Even if it is maybe a perfect start for us in terms of results, points and performances, we haven’t won anything yet.

‘We need to keep the good balance between confidence – which is really important for the players – but also keeping our head on our shoulders; not flying or not being aligned with the reality.’
