Kevin Müller and 1.FC Heidenheim are set to part ways in the winter, based on the latest report from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper, with the help of his new agent, is eager to continue his career with a move to the MLS.

Heidenheim would even allow Müller to leave on a free transfer, despite his contract running until 2027.

Müller, who minded the nets since their Bundesliga promotion in 2023, lost his place to BVB loanee Diant Ramaj this season.

The plan is that Ramaj will remain as Heidenheim’s number one until the end of the campaign, with no option to buy included.

He will then return to Dortmund, with talented shot-stopper Frank Feller set to be Heidenheim’s first-choice in 2026-27.
