Adeyemi returns to Germany U21s in latest round of call-ups

Antonio di Salvo’s Germany U21 squad for two forthcoming 2025 UEFA U21 Qualifying matches over the coming international break features five newcomers in the outfield.

After recently completing transfers to new clubs, Brajan Gruda and Youssoufa Moukoko have been omitted. Perhaps the biggest piece of news concerns the fact that Karim Adeyemi has accepted di Salvo’s call-up this time.

Antonio di Salvo’s Germany U21 squad for two forthcoming 2025 UEFA U21 Qualifying matches against Israel and Estonia features five potential outfield debutants. Frans Krätzig (Stuttgart), Maximilian Rosenfelder (SC Freiburg), Tim Hermann (VfL Bochum), Marcel Beefs (Karlsruhe), and Keke Topp (SV Werder Bremen) have not yet been capped at the country’s highest youth level. Back-up keepers Tjark Ernst (Hertha) and Felix Gebhardt (Regensburg) have also not been capped yet.

Di Salvo has opted to omit two attackers (Brajan Gruda, Brighton and Youssoufa Moukoko, OGC Nice) who have recently completed moves to new clubs and will be given time to concentrate on integrating into their new teams. On the other hand, Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund will be returning after controversially declining a call-up last autumn.
