Alphonso Davies‘ agent Nick Huoseh has torn into Canada boss Jesse Marsch after the Bayern Munich star suffered a ‘preventable’ ACL injury.
The 24-year-old left-back and his club side Bayern have been rocked by the news that he is set to be sidelined until late in the year after suffering ACL damage.

Davies was forced to withdraw from Canada’s recent clash with the United States after just 11 minutes. It initially appeared as though he had injured his ankle, but it soon became apparent that the damage affected his knee.
Reports in Germany suggest that Canada’s talisman will not return to the pitch until October at the earliest. Davies will therefore miss the rest of the current season in what comes as a huge blow to Bayern.
Although the Bavarians have a comfortable lead at the summit of the Bundesliga, they are set to face Inter in the Champions League quarter-finals and will be without one of their key players. Teammate Dayot Upamecano has also picked up an injury on international duty.

Davies’ agent slams Jesse Marsch
The news of Davies’ lengthy absence has come as a major shock. Those close to the player have been left enraged as they believe that this injury was entirely preventable.
His agent Nick Huoseh has now lashed out at Canada boss Jesse Marsch because Davies had told the former Leeds coach that he wasn’t feeling in the right physical condition to play.

“I was surprised he started as he had told me he wasn’t fit enough to play,” Huoseh thundered in an interview with tz. “A source within the Canadian Soccer Association told me Friday evening that Alphonso wouldn’t start but might get a few minutes of playing time. I told them he shouldn’t play at all.
“In my opinion, he [Marsch] should have handled the situation better. This could have been prevented 100 per cent. Before his time in Canada, Jesse worked as a professional coach at the highest level and should know very well that you shouldn’t take any risks with players who say they can’t play.”
