Ancelotti gives opinion on Nico Paz: Real Madrid have buy-back option for Inter-linked Como talent – Football Italia – March 7 latest

Carlo Ancelotti believes that Nico Paz is doing “very, very well,” during his spell in Serie A with Como, but is unable to provide any further details as to whether Real Madrid will exercise their buy-back option on the sought-after 20-year-old. 

Nico Paz is already attracting interest from a number of Europe’s biggest clubs after the successes of his first season in Como, most notably from Inter, who are reportedly looking at the young Argentine to rejuvenate their first-team squad.

“He is doing well, very very well,” Ancelotti said of the former Madrid talent during his appearance on the Poretcast podcast with Giacomo Poretti. 

Paz joined the newly-promoted Como in a bargain deal worth around €6m during the summer transfer window, but Madrid have both a 50% sell-on clause and a series of buy back options valid over the next few summer transfer windows. 

Los Blancos are able to buy the player back for a fee of €8m in the upcoming summer transfer window, for €9m in the summer of 2026 and for €10m in the summer of 2027. 

Even if Madrid decide that they do not need Paz in their first team squad, they are still able to buy him back in order to sell him on for a greater fee, which could benefit Simone Inzaghi and Inter.
