Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri has completed a loan move to Granada, but the agent of the Uruguay international has hit out at Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag for his treatment of the young attacker.

Pellistri had barely been used by Ten Hag this season, clocking up only 366 minutes of football across 14 appearances for the club.

It came as little surprise when he left Man Utd on a third loan deal, having previously spent two stints in LaLiga with Alaves.

And Pellistri’s agent Edgardo Lasalvia has criticised the manager.

“Whether he returns to Manchester in the middle of the year will depend on the performance he shows. If Ten Hag continues, it’s going to be difficult. Ten Hag hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional,” Lasalvia told Sport 890.

Another Ten Hag spat

Ten Hag has found himself in the eye of a storm over the course of the last week, with Marcus Rashford’s actions in visiting a nightclub placing scrutiny of the actions of the former Ajax boss, whose relationship with key players at Man Utd has been difficult since he arrived 18 months ago.

Cristiano Ronaldo was chased out the club by the ex-Ajax boss late in 2022, while Jadon Sancho was exiled from the team for four months before moving on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Rashford appears to have avoided such a dramatic fate, while in the background it is clear that Ten Hag’s actions have consistently served to frustrate Pellistri, whose opportunities have been limited, despite his rivals for the wing positions struggling to show any kind of consistency or quality.

Now Pellistri’s hopes of making it at Man Utd appear to rest on him shining in Granada, who find themselves second from bottom in LaLiga.
