Arsenal line up RECORD-BREAKING transfer

Arsenal are reportedly planning a move for West Ham United superstar Mohammed Kudus as a possible replacement for Leandro Trossard.

Kudus, 24, has impressed since joining West Ham last summer and he has been heavily linked with a number of top Premier League sides, including Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, Arsenal are also interested in completing a deal for the Ghana international, with Mikel Arteta eager to bolster his forward options in 2025.

Spain winger Nico Williams was the Gunners’ primary target during the most recent transfer window, but he opted to remain at Athletic Club despite significant interest from both Arsenal and La Liga giants Barcelona.

The north London club eventually completed a loan deal for Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling, however they are determined to sign at least one new attacker in 2025, with Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko and Dusan Vlahovic among their centre-forward targets.

Mohammed Kudus to Arsenal?

In addition to a new number nine, Arsenal are also desperate to sign a new winger in order to provide adequate cover for England international Bukayo Saka.

Furthermore, the club may be forced to dip into the market if the aforementioned Trossard is sold to the Saudi Pro League.

Trossard was linked with a sensational move to Saudi Arabia during the final few days of the summer window and Al-Ittihad remain keen to acquire his services next year, as per The Express.

As a result, Arsenal have set their sights on a move for Kudus, although the former Ajax star could cost as much as €107 million (£90m); a record fee for an African player in football history.

The 24-year-old has 16 goals in 55 appearances for West Ham, while his current contract at the London Stadium isn’t due to expire until 2028.

Leroy Sane has also been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks and the Germany international is set to be available on a free transfer when his Bayern Munich deal runs out next summer.
