Arsenal have reportedly made a formal offer to sign Real Madrid winger Rodrygo during the winter transfer window.
The Gunners were heavily linked with the Brazil international last summer, but a deal did not materialise before the deadline.
He has continued to be linked with the north London giants and Fichajes claim that Arsenal are willing to pay £52 million for his services.
It remains to be seen whether Los Blancos sanction his sale, particularly with Kylian Mbappe missing with a minor injury setback.
Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has also praised Rodrygo in recent weeks and it seems unlikely that they will entertain a mid-season exit.
Arsenal also don’t require an upgrade on the left wing, given the fine form of Leandro Trossard during the Premier League campaign.
The Belgian has managed 11 goal contributions in the division and has been almost ever-present on the left wing for the Gunners.
Similarly, Bukayo Saka is a nailed-on starter on the opposite end. The Gunners have a quality deputy for him in Noni Madueke.
