Barcelona‘s famed La Masia academy is already working on producing and refining the club’s next Lamine Yamal.

Article continues under the video

The 17-year-old winger has been breaking records since age 16 and his star only continues to rise. Yamal’s ascent to the top of the game has been rapid and he’s already a European champion after proving a key player for Spain at Euro 2024.

On current form, Yamal is one of the best wide players in football and his record for Barcelona this season is utterly outrageous. The teenager has netted five times and provided five assists in nine games across all competitions.

Even against Osasuna on Saturday, a game a heavily-rotated Barcelona lost 4-2, Yamal made himself the talk of the town despite not even starting the match as he produced a stunning finish late on.

Yamal has been far from the only La Masia product to star for the club this season and the Catalan talent factory continues to churn out wonderkids.

12-year-old goes viral

Indeed, Barcelona may already have their next Yamal waiting in the wings, though we likely won’t see him near the first team for another few years.

12-year-old attacker Adam Qaroual has been going viral on social media for the outrageous bits of skill he has been producing for the Blaugrana’s U13s this term.

Like Yamal, who has a Moroccan father, Qaroual’s parents hail from the North African country, but he is also eligible for Spain. Moreover, the youngster could also represent Germany as he was born in Mönchengladbach.

Barcelona snapped Qaroual up from PSV in 2023, so despite his ridiculously young age, he has already experienced quite a bit in his life. On Saturday, he produced an incredible assist for Moha Akhomach, the little brother of La Masia graduate Ilias Akhomach (now at Villarreal).
