Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund has responded to recent claims by Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy that the London club have a buy-back option on Harry Kane.

“We never talk about contract details,” Freund said in an interview with DAZN.

“Harry is here, he left England with conviction for the first time. We have a four-year contract with him. We are very, very happy and are planning for the long term with him at Bayern.

“He will shape this team and an era here. I’m convinced of that. He feels very comfortable and has big goals for Bayern in the coming years.”

According to reports, the clause Levy was referring to means that Tottenham will have the first option to sign Kane should he wish to return to the Premier League in the future.

There’s no fixed price, but if another English club makes an offer for Kane, Spurs would have the opportunity to match it.
