Here’s our Bundesliga Team of the Week for Matchday 2.

Goalkeeper: Peter Gulacsi, RB Leipzig
Gulacsi wasn’t to blame for either of Leverkusen’s two goals and made eight saves to help Leipzig to a 3-2 win.

Full-back: Benjamin Henrichs, RB Leipzig
Playing in a wing-back role, Henrichs put in an energetic performance, notching up an assist, completing 80 percent of his passes and winning 67 percent of his duels.

Centre-back: Benedikt Gimber, Heidenheim
Gimber was a rock at the back for Heidenheim, making four clearances, blocking two shots, making two interceptions and winning a total of six duels.

Centre-back: Sebastiaan Bornauw, Wolfsburg
Solid performance from the central defender, who scored a goal, made two clearances and won five duels in Wolfsburg’s 2-0 win over Holstein Kiel.

Full-back: Alex Grimaldo, Bayer Leverkusen
An all-around great performance from Grimaldo, who scored a goal and had 0.90 expected assists. He completed 85 percent of his passes and made seven key passes.

Defensive midfielder: Maximilian Arnold, Wolfsburg
Was involved in both Wolfsburg goals, scoring and assisting. Completed 81 percent of his passes and won a total of six duels.

Winger: Leo Scienza, Heidenheim
The winger was impossible to contain for Augsburg, scoring a goal and registering 0.61 expected assists. He completed five dribbles and won 11 ground duels.

Attacking midfielder: Paul Wanner, Heidenheim
Another impressive performance from the Bayern Munich loanee, who scored from the penalty spot and later provided an assist.

Winger: Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt
Put in a great performance after pledging his allegiance to Eintracht on deadline day, scoring a goal and adding an assist.

Striker: Hugo Ekitiké, Eintracht Frankfurt
Also recorded a goal and an assist and was a constant threat against Hoffenheim.

Striker: Lois Openda, RB Leipzig
Turned a loss into a win with a brace against Bayer Leverkusen.
