Chelsea are monitoring the fallout between Victor Osimhen and Napoli, talkSPORT understands.
Osimhen’s agent has threatened legal action against the Italian champions over a social media post mocking the Nigerian for missing a penalty.
As previously reported by talkSPORT, Chelsea are admirers of Osimhen and could use the bizarre spat to step up their interest.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear he wants a new striker in January and the Blues are also among the clubs showing an interest in Ivan Toney.
Brentford would demand a minimum of £60million for Toney, also on Arsenal’s list of targets, but this is expected to rise to nearer £80m if multiple teams are at the table.
