Chelsea Transfer News Today: Osimhen WORRY, Felix CLOSE, Chilwell KICKED OUT

All the latest Chelsea transfer news, including updates on Victor Osimhen, Joao Felix and Ben Chilwell.

Chelsea remain interested in Napoli sharpshooter Osimhen and reiterated their intention to sign him during recent talks with their Italian counterparts over Romelu Lukaku.

However, the Blues now face a major worry due to PSG striker Goncalo Ramos going down with a serious injury. The Portuguese will be out for three months and French media is reporting that the Parisians are considering dipping into the market for a new striker.

PSG previously tried to sign Osimhen, even agreeing terms with the striker earlier this summer. Talks eventually collapsed, but the Nigerian remains keen on the move.

The Ligue 1 champions baulked at Napoli’s demands and were unwilling to sign Osimhen due to Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani still being at the club. With Ramos now out of the picture, however, they could reignite their interest.

Felix moving closer

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid continue to negotiate a package for Joao Felix, but they have made significant progress in recent days. According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is now close, with Chelsea set to pay ‘much less’ than the €60 million touted by some outlets.

A deal for Felix would, of course, unlock Conor Gallagher‘s move the other way. Everything for the England international has already been agreed since last week and he is just waiting for the green light to travel back to Madrid after training with the rest of Chelsea’s outcasts away from the first team in recent days.

Chilwell told to leave

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca has added another name to the aforementioned list of outcasts by publically telling Ben Chilwell to leave the club. There have been concerns about the left-back’s suitability to the Italian’s style and he has now bluntly confirmed those fears.

“Chilly is with us but he has not been training for the last few days because he has been ill. The reason he did not play versus Inter was because with Chilly it is quite clear, even though I love the way he is, the problem is he is struggling a bit to find the right position.

“I need to make a decision and probably it is better to leave and go and get minutes. The transfer window is open so we’ll see what happens.”

Gomez to Chelsea?

While one defender could leave, another could be signed. At least that is according to The Times, which reports that Chelsea are interested in Liverpool Swiss army knife Joe Gomez.

The versatile defender was absent from the Reds opening game against Ipswich Town as he continues to explore his options. FootballTransfers exclusively revealed in May that the 27-year-old was looking for a change of scenery.

Chelsea’s supposed interest is strange given that they are also trying to offload Trevoh Chalobah in addition to Chilwell, but logic does appear to go out the window when it comes to the Blues’ business.

True Moreira fee revealed

Diego Moreira recently completed a permanent move from Chelsea to BlueCo affiliate Strasbourg to avoid using up one of the Blues’ limited international loan spots.

The Portuguese signed a five-year deal in Alsace and Chelsa reportedly have a buy-back clause. Initially, it was claimed that Strasbourg paid €2m for the 20-year-old.

However, French media now claims that the Blues actually pocketed a whopping €8m of Strasbourg’s limited budget, which casts doubt on whether they would have signed Moreira – who made just ten senior appearances last season – if they weren’t owned by BlueCo.
