FootballTransfers runs through the latest Chelsea football transfer news updates, including the latest on Raheem Sterling, Joao Felix and Joe Gomez.
Raheem Sterling wants ‘clarity’
Raheem Sterling wants “clarity” on his future at Chelsea after being excluded from the Blues’ matchday squad to face Manchester City.
Enzo Maresca omitted the 29-year-old from his first Premier League squad as Chelsea boss, with Christopher Nkunku, Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson starting in attack for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Following the decision, Sterling’s camp released a statement to The Daily Mail that read: “Raheem Sterling is contracted to Chelsea for the next three years.
“He returned to England two weeks early to conduct individual training, and has had a positive pre-season under the new coach, who he has developed a good working relationship with.
“He is committed, as ever, to delivering at the highest level for Chelsea FC and the fans, who he holds in high regard, and given his inclusion in official club pre-match material this week, our expectation was that Raheem would be involved in this weekend’s fixture in some capacity.

“As a camp, we have always had positive
dialogue with, and assurance from, Chelsea FC in relation to Raheem’s future at the club, so we look forward to gaining clarity on the situation.
“Until then, we will continue to support Raheem’s desire to start the new season positively.”
When asked about the decision by Sky Sports, Maresca said: “The manager has to make some decisions. Sometimes players don’t like it, that’s normal. Just a technical decision, no more than that.”
Joao Felix and Conor Gallagher update
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have advanced in negotiations that will see Joao Felix and Conor Gallagher switch clubs.
Romano says that the two teams are now discussing the final details, with the transfers expected to be completed very soon.
As per the transfer journalist, Chelsea will pay around €40 million plus add-ons for Felix, while Atletico Madrid will pay €40m for Gallagher.
Joe Gomez’s asking price revealed
Liverpool want a transfer fee in the region of €35-40 million for Joe Gomez, according to CaughtOffside, as the Englishman continues to be linked with a summer exit.
Gomez was excluded from Liverpool’s squad to face Ipswich Town on Saturday, due to transfer links, and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing him, as per The Times.
Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Fulham are also admirers of the 27-year-old.
Victor Osimhen blow
Paris Saint-Germain will push to sign a new centre forward this summer, according to Fabrice Hawkins.
It comes after Goncalo Ramos suffered an ankle injury against Le Havre, with Luis Enrique eager to sign a replacement before the transfer window closes.
As a result, Chelsea will now face significant competition in the race for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who has also been heavily linked with a move to PSG.
Ben Chilwell replacement?
Chelsea will look to sign a replacement for Ben Chilwell if he leaves the club this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United are among the clubs interested in the England left-back, and Enzo Maresca recently admitted that an exit is possible.
Ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League opener against Manchester City, the Italian said: “It’s probably better he goes and leaves and finds minutes.
“I love the way he is, the problem is that he is struggling to find the right position with us.”
Chelsea have been linked with a number of left-backs this summer, including Rayan Ait-Nouri, Patrick Dorgu and Archie Brown.
Cole Palmer praises Enzo Maresca
Chelsea star Cole Palmer has heaped praise on new boss Enzo Maresca during an interview with the club’s website.
“We’ve got an amazing coach, so it’s important to listen to the coach,” the England international admitted.
“He will only help me get better and improve my game. So if I listen to him and work hard, I don’t see why this season can’t be even better.
“I’ve only been with him about a week or two here after the Euros, but I knew him from [Man] City. He was my manager in the Under-21s at City, where we won the league together. Then he was Pep’s assistant and now he’s here.
“He’s a great guy as well. You can speak to him, you can ask him whatever. I think that helps you on the pitch massively.”
