CONFIRMED: Arsenal open Osimhen talks as Nigeria ace ‘WILLING’ to make Man Utd move

The race to sign Victor Osimhen this summer is on, with Arsenal ready to open talks with the Napoli striker’s agent while Manchester United and Chelsea are among the other sides keeping tabs on the striker.

Osimhen has been a hot topic of transfer conversation for more than a year, with a string of clubs interested in signing him last summer.

Arsenal will open discussions with the player’s agent over the possibility of a move, it is reported. Despite this, it is FootballTransfers’ understanding that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Newcastle hitman Alexander Isak are all ahead of Osimhen in Mikel Arteta’s thinking.

While another leading striker in Viktor Gyokeres has distanced himself from moving to Old Trafford in the summer due to their lack of Champions League football, Osimhen is not thought to see that as a sticking point. After all, he has not played in that competition this season.

The biggest obstacle to Osimhen moving to Old Trafford could be the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), which Ruben Amorim has already admitted will for the club to sell before they buy.
