England will face Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia in group c at the 2024 European Championship after being drawn as one of the tournament’s top seeds.
Gareth Southgate‘s side will kick off their Euros campaign in the western German city of Gelsenkirchen on Sunday, June 16.
The draw looked favourable on the Three Lions who managed to avoid the more difficult ties than that of their fellow home nations in Scotland and Wales.
Scotland have been drawn in group a and will face Germany in the opening game in Berlin to kick-off UEFA’s showpiece event, before taking on Hungary and Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Wales, who need to qualify through the play-offs to make it to Germany next year, will find themselves in a group of death alongside the Netherlands, France and Austria.

Rob Page’s side will have to beat Finland in their Euro 2024 playoff semi-final and the winner of Poland’s clash with Estonia to book their spot in a third consecutive major tournament.
England excelled in qualifying to finish top of their pre-tournament group with an unbeaten record in tow, winning six of their eight matches, including two wins against Italy, and drawing twice.
Scotland similarly impressed by finishing second behind Spain to qualify for the Euros having been one of the standout teams, with Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay scoring seven goals during that run.
England avoided other top seeds in Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium and hosting nation Germany as a result of their qualifying run with all included in pot one.

Their fortunes of being put into the third group means they won’t play another group winner until European Championship semi-final as long if they top their own group.
That is the same situation for France who are the seeded team in group d but are faced with the strongest competition alongside the Netherlands, Austria and one playoff winner.
Another tough group greeted reigning Euros champions Italy, who are one of two recent World Cup winning nations in group b as Spain join them with Croatia and Albania also featuring.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal side, that also boasts Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, will play Turkey, Czech Republic and the winner of play off c.
