Aaron Ramsdale is best known for his shot-stopping ability but it appears the Arsenal goalkeeper also has a selection of silky skills in his locker.
The Gunners No.1 is with the England squad gearing up for the Three Lions’ crunch Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine in Poland on Saturday, live on talkSPORT and found the time to show off his ball skills.
In a clip posted on England’s official social media pages, Ramsdale is seen receiving a drilled pass from Marcus Rashford to which he produces an unlikely piece of technical skill.
Rashford begins by firing a knee high ball to the Arsenal man who responds with an audacious mid-air touch and control with his trailing leg.
He then adds in a keepy-uppy before another fine touch from behind. He finishes off with a further sequence of ball control before firing the ball back to the Manchester United forward.
The small group of onlookers seemed to enjoy the show as they howled in approval at Ramsdale’s hidden skills.
And the Gunners goalkeeper finished off by asking: “Did you get it?” in hope that it was recorded for future viewing.
Ramsdale hopes to be handed some playing time over the next week as England face two fixtures before the squad return to their clubs sides.
Following Saturday’s clash in Wroclaw, England head to Hampden Park to face Scotland is what promises to be a high-octane friendly, also live on talkSPORT.
Gareth Southgate’s side sit six points clear at the top of their Euro 2024 qualifying group having won all four of their games. A win over second-placed Ukraine would put daylight between them and the chasing pack and put the Three Lions on course for next summer’s tournament in Germany.
