With pressure mounting on Marco Rose, Kicker has reported that Sebastian Hoeness could be a candidate for the role at RB Leipzig.

Hoeness, who once worked with Die Roten Bullen as a youth coach, is believed to have a release clause in the region of €8million at Stuttgart.

A decision from the current head coach’s future at the Swabian club is expected in late April.

Stuttgart have supposedly set their sights on a potential successor to Hoeness – Lukas Kwasniok – who has been working his magic at SC Paderborn.

A fee of around €2.5million would be owed to the 2.Bundesliga side if they approach him. Meanwhile, names like Cesc Fabregas and Matthais Jaissle are also mentioned.

The reason for the rumour gathering such speed is linked to BILD’s suggestion that Marco Rose has little support from the Leipzig hierarchy.

There are already talks of the 48-year-old parting ways with the Saxon club in summer.
