Manchester City have spent €2.6237 billion (€2,623.7 million) on transfers since the Abu Dhabi Group’s takeover in 2008.

Man City’s first major signing under Mansour came just hours after his arrival, with Robinho joining from Real Madrid for a British record fee of €43m. However, the Brazilian allegedly did not realise he was signing for the club, and instead thought he was joining their rivals Manchester United.

City had already signed several players – including Vincent Kompany and Pablo Zabaleta – during the 2008 summer transfer window before Mansour arrived, so they have not been included in the figures.
