What is Thomas Tuchel salary for England?

Tuchel will earn basic wages of £4.5m to £5m per season with the England national team.

But it is also widely reported that Tuchel’s England contract contains a number of financial incentives which will see him paid more.

The bonuses will be dependent on how well England perform.

Qualifying for the World Cup will see him earn a bonus and then the further he progresses at the tournament in North America in 2026 will see his earning rise further.

Winning the World Cup would see Tuchel reach his full amount of possible earnings with England.

Upon his appointment Tuchel said: “I am very proud to have been given the honour of leading the England team. I have long felt a personal connection to the game in this country, and it has given me some incredible moments already. To have the chance to represent England is a huge privilege, and the opportunity to work with this special and talented group of players is very exciting.

“Working closely with Anthony as my assistant coach, we will do everything we can to make England successful and the supporters proud. I want to thank the FA, in particular Mark and John, for their trust and I am looking forward to starting our journey together.”

Lee Carsley has been in interim charge since Southgate’s resignation following England’s 2024 European Championship final defeat to Spain, but he will not land the job on a permanent basis.

He will return to the England Under-21s in 2025.
