Sofyan Amrabat’s Manchester United debut is edging closer to fruition.
Amrabat joined United during the final minutes of deadline day, signing on loan with the club having the option to make the deal permanent for around £21million.
However, soon after his arrival, rumours started to swirl over a possible injury and United were said to have detected a back issue during the midfielder’s medical.
The move was still completed but Amrabat was injured and missed international duty with Morocco and has been absent since.
Is Sofyan Amrabat fit to play for Man United?
United are set to make a late call on Amrabat ahead of their game against Burnley this weekend, live on talkSPORT.
The 27-year-old was selected to be part of the Morocco squad for this month’s international break, but he had to pull out.

This confirmed reports that the new United midfielder had already picked up an injury only days after joining.
And Morocco manager Walid Regragui spoke about Amrabat’s issue.
Regragui said: “Sofyan felt something.
“We let him go as a precaution because he has just started his new adventure with Manchester United.”
However, the specifics of the midfielder’s injury were unknown, but he’s back in training.
Erik ten Hag confirmed that Amrabat is finally involved in first-team training, he said: “Amrabat will train, we will see.
“But they [Amrabat and Mason Mount] didn’t play for short or longer-term.”
United are experiencing an injury crisis at the moment with Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia out.
But Amrabat could well be involved this weekend, although, it’s very unlikely he starts.
