The defender’s current deal at Anfield, which he signed in July 2021, expires in the summer of 2025.
Trent, who missed the weekend’s win at Wolves due to a hamstring injury, has racked up 277 appearances for Liverpool since rising from the club’s academy in 2016.
He was part of the Reds sides that won the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League in 2020.
The England international has also scored 16 goals and provided a whopping 73 assists in that time.
