Man Utd eyeing deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker

Manchester United have identified Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface as a potential target for the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils currently have Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee as their main strikers, but both of them have been disappointing.

Marcus Rashford led the line in manager Ruben Amorim‘s first game and there are doubts surrounding the future of the pair.

Zirkzee’s future in particular has been speculated in the media and there are claims that he could return to the Serie A next summer.

With this in mind, United are making a contingency plan in place and have their sights on landing Boniface from the German champions.

Contact has been established with the player’s agent and the club are prepared to assess his performances after his return from injury.

Boniface is open to pursuing a bigger challenge away from Leverkusen and he would consider a move to the Premier League next summer.

The 23-year-old has netted eight goals in 15 games this campaign.
